Test Strip FAQ:

What are chlorine dioxide test strips used for?

These test strips are used to measure the level of chlorine dioxide in Gard’nClean Liquid solutions, ensuring proper ppm concentration.

Can these be used to test Gard’nClean gas products?

No, these test strips only work with liquid chlorine dioxide solutions.

How do I use the test strips?

Simply dip a strip into the liquid you're testing, wait for the indicated time, and then compare the strip's color change to the chart on the bottle to determine the chlorine dioxide level.

When should I test my Gard’nClean Liquid solutions?

We recommend testing your solution after initial activation, anytime you make a diluted solution, and prior to use to verify use concentrations..

What should I do if the chlorine dioxide level is too high or too low?

Adjust your chlorine dioxide solution to the appropriate level. Refer to the Gard’nClean Liquid Dilution Chart for more information.

How should I store the test strips?

Store them in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture, and in their original container to ensure their longevity and accuracy.

Do these test strips have an expiration date?

Yes, like most chemical test strips, they have a shelf life. Always check the expiration date printed on the bottle and use them before it passes for accurate results.

What is the difference between low range and wide range chlorine dioxide test strips?

Low range test strips are designed to measure lower concentrations of chlorine dioxide, such as for water treatment and food contact sanitizing. Wide range test strips are used for higher concentrations such as water system treatments or hard surface disinfection.
